About the Role

You will be responsible for delivering fire risk assessment and validation services across a variety of projects in the Midlands and South of England. The role is fully remote, with work allocated locally to reduce travel requirements.

Our client has extensive experience supporting mixed-use and educational developments, as well as refurbishment projects, helping to enhance life safety through detailed assessment and expert reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct and review fire risk assessments for new and existing buildings
• Validate and report on fire safety measures in line with UK regulations
• Liaise effectively with clients and approval authorities
• Produce clear, defensible, and high-quality reports and recommendations

About You

• Holding a qualification or membership with a recognised professional body (e.g. IFSM, IFE, or similar)
• Strong knowledge of UK Building Regulations and fire safety standards
• Proven experience in fire risk assessment or validation
• Excellent communication and technical report-writing skills
• Self-motivated and comfortable working independently in a remote environment
• Good understanding of the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 and its practical application
• Comprehensive knowledge of Building Regulations as they relate to fire safety, with familiarity with relevant guidance and best practice documents
• Strong working knowledge of British Standards governing fire safety systems and equipment, including detection and alarm systems, emergency lighting, signage, extinguishers, and suppression installations
